seriously, my niece is going to be a super model

when we went to NC a couple of weekends ago for my graduation, we went a tad bit early and stayed a few days with my parents. the best part of the trip - we got to meet our new niece, adley. she's beautiful. i've said it before, but i am love with her. here are a few photos from the trip. forgive me, they are all taken from my old iPhone :)

the flower pot saga continues ...

so the orange flowers i planted a few posts ago, well they died. but it wasn't entirely my fault. i am however convinced i do not have a green thumb, but i am trying. apparently those orange flowers grow best in full sun, and our front steps get mostly shade. also we had a huge storm 2 days after i planted them, and they all got broken ... so anyway, with the help of an older lady at lowes shopping for flowers of her own, i found some flowers that she called "hardy" that grow in shade. they are called impatients, and i am crossing my fingers they don't die. wish me luck.

my heart is breaking for a very dear family that i have had the privilege to get to know over the past year and a half. they lost their amazing 2 yr old boy last september, and this morning their sweet 4 yr old son passed away. i don't even know what to say, but it seems so unfair. working with these brave, strong kids has forever changed my view on life. they are inspiring and truly little sweet miracles. it was an honor to take care of these boys. please pray for their parents to find peace in this unbelievably horrible time as both of their children are now in heaven.
