Mid-Week

well it's mid-week here and i haven't managed to blog once.
recap of the week -
night of prayer with my discipleship class girls
night out after work with annie
bravo and starbucks + good conversation
awesome
day off catching up on the dvr and a shopping trip to ulta with kristina
great day
work day full of putting in IVs, drawing labs, giving meds and playing with kids
now relaxing with some hot tea and listening to distant thunder
perfecto!

4nniversary

4 years ago today i become mrs. brandon gilliam
the day was perfect

Fishing with the boys

After the morning of hiking on Brandon's birthday, the boys went fishing. Brandon had a great time helping to teach the younger ones how to fish. they loved it, and they each caught several. We even fried them up and ate them for dinner a couple of days later. Nothing like eating something you caught yourself!

Brandon's Birthday Hike

The morning of Brandon's birthday we met up with our good friends mike and annie for a big breakfast here. nothing like some biscuits and gravy to get you ready for a good hike! then we hopped in the truck and headed for the trail.

Brandon and Mike had to walk ahead of Annie and I to knock down the spider webs for us. They were spanning the whole length of the trail at the beginning. no thank you!

I thought the roots of this tree by the creek were so pretty and old.

After the hike we passed this huge hill on the other side of the dam. We thought it would be fun to run up it. Let me just say it was the hardest thing I've done in a long time!

It was nice to get outside in the fresh air with some good friends. We ended the night with sushi from Ando and ice cream from Graters. Yum! Such a fun day!

the life of the party

last weekend i had the pleasure of attending my good friend deanna's wedding at the grand in downtown newport. it was a great wedding, and honestly one of the most fun i've been to. the most entertaining part of the night? need evidence it was a great party? look no farther than the man on the edge of the crowd in the blue short-sleeve shirt. now he was having some fun. love it!

beach vacation

hope everyone had a great 4th. so blessed to live in freedom and call America our home.

a couple of weeks ago we went to Charleston, SC (one of my favorite places) with my parents, my brother and sister in-law and my niece Adley for vacation. we spent a week at a beach condo, ate lots of fresh seafood, shopped a bit, lounged by the pool and on the beach, read books and played games. my only complaint? wasn't long enough. here's a few shots of the week.
